About us
The " K. SAKALIS Dried Nuts & Edible Olives " company is located in Astros
Kynourias, Arkadia, Eastern Peloponnese, Greece. Our farm at Paralion Astros - a seaside village
4 kms away from Astros - has been planted with pistachio trees (the savorous Pistacia vera
variety) and olive trees (the most famous Kalamata variety and the especial Blonde Kynouria
variety) since 1954. In 1980, Konstantinos D. Sakalis, really mature on the exacting pistachio
cultivation, had the idea to found an incorporate which would develop an integrated system on
all "pistachios steps", from cultivating, processing to packing and selling them.
Since then and thanks to the preference of the people for our gustatory pistachios, our
vertically organized company has been renewing its machinery with automatic technology
and has been expanding its sales. Since the summer of 1997, Konstantinos Al. Sakalis (grandson)
has undertaken the general management of it. In 1998, the business was sponsored by "Leader II",
a financial schedule credited by European Union. Last two decades, we also have been formally
grown up on the market of packing finest edible olives (Kalamata variety and Blonde Kynouria
variety), taking advantage of over 50 years cultivating experience at our own farm. Our continuous
solicitude is studying up-to-date pistachios and olives data coming from international accredited
institutes and universities, as well as cooperating with specialized agriculturists, thus we enrich
our cultivating and processing adeptness. We focus at the superior quality and the high nutrition
value of our products keeping them safe from the tree diseases and defects caused by processing
methods, in order to satisfy the most demanding / hard to please customers. Our uppermost
purpose is to produce selected foods and pack them naturally, without preservatives or colours,
under rigorous sanitary conditions.

Our olives are packed in brine (water, salt, vinegar, without preservatives), naturally ripened, neither oxidized nor artificially blackened. It is widely known since ancient times that natural olives are a main and high-class nourishing food which is provenly, by modern medical reports, related with the good health and the longevity of the Greek people.
